Local Amenities & history:

Brixton has become such a cosmopolitan & fashionable place to live. Its buzzing with night life and attracting massive investment from government and businesses to date.

The biggest music venue in south London, the Brixton Academy, attracts top names and features regularly in sell-out tours. The Fridge draws night clubbers from across south east England. Brixton has its own independent cinema, the Ritzy, and a theatre at the Brix housed in the converted St Matthew's Church.

Brockwell Park is very close by and has lovely open space, which hosts the massive Lambeth Country Show each year. Brockwell Lido is also the coolest place to meet friends in the heat of the summer. Discovering night clubs, bars and restaurants in Brixton could be a full time occupation. Just to name a few: Club 414, the Dogstar, the Bug Bar, Brixtonian, Tongue & Groove, Satay Bar, the Noodle House, the Bird Cage at the Ritzy and Bah Humbug.

Shopping includes most of the big name stores and all the main banks and building societies. Brixton market is great for bargains, variety and fun. You can also visit the arts market on a Saturday.
